Do you want to know what employers are looking for in college graduates? This interesting article in Forbes summarizes the results of a survey run by The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) a Bethlehem, PA non-profit group that links college career placement offices with employers. Here are the top five:
1. Ability to work in a team structure
2. Ability to make decisions and solve problems (tie)
3. Ability to communicate verbally with people inside and outside an organization
4. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work
5. Ability to obtain and process information
The results are interesting, and provide a lead-in to the new rankings prepared by LinkedIn. There is no company with more data on education and employment than LinkedIn, and they have done some interesting analyses based on all of this big data.
